Thrones? Either the guy was a serious monarchist or Armstrong was dealing with an alien of some kind. He looked human enough, but with some of the holotech or biosurgery out there, even a Gadroon could... No, probably not an alien. So more likely someone from another universe.

He pushes himself off of the wall and takes the offered hand, giving it a firm, business-like shake with a ghost of a smile. No tests of strength from him. No overenthusiastic pumping. He does wonder about the fingers, but a lot of things can happen. At least he's still got plenty of spares for any fingerprint scanners they run across.
Introductions. There's no way Cain could know how long it's been since Armstrong's had to introduce himself to anyone that didn't already know him. Today, though, he's been doing it a lot. It's still a novelty. "Kevin Armstrong. Military or political, Commissar?" Or a mix. But Armstrong's betting on military, the man doesn't seem like a desk jockey.
