Julien has spent much of his time in line - his satellite, human self's time in line, the rest of him freezing his tail off high above, waiting for the right moment - a few people back, chatting with neighbors (and, when they weren't feeling conversation, with no one in particular) about the three months he spent mowing lawns at The Magic Kingdom in Florida. There seems to be a general theme about the place being great, the people being great, buuuuut he's glad he left, and not just because the humidity was awful on his hair.
It's been a thing. The first several times Elsa looked back he's tried to make eye contact and smile, but he picked up that she was looking for someone else and switched to politely not noticing.
At last they're here and the stream of guests is getting to fan out and be diverted into countless opportunities to part them with their money. Julien puts his hands in his pockets, shoulders hunching, and walks around in sudden silence. His powerset is great for stealing. Like, amazing for stealing, especially things that can get wet without being ruined. If only he was at all comfortable with doing that? He has a stipend but is it going to be enough to make those Rig creeps happy?
"Do you know where you're going? I don't know where I'm going," he asks to the closet-cosplaying fellow conscript who was ahead of him, because it takes more than a moment of uncertainty to make him quiet.
h-ish
