The young man with the grey-blue skin and eerily luminous orange eyes is called Crow, and that's all that any of the other New Hires knows about him.

Crow is not enjoying the grisly display either, but he's accustomed to unsavory work for an unsavory patron. Said unsavory patron is also member of a species that considers cutting each others' arms off to be an appropriate punishment and public spectacle. This is horrible, but Crow is fine.

The one who is not fine is this other guy, and it shows.

"Breathe," Crow says out of the corner of his mouth. He doesn't turn his head, so he won't alert the guards. "They're not going to cut you. I'm going to take that glass shoe."

He might also get stabbed in the process, but Crow sounds pretty confident. Getting stabbed is not part of his plan.
